TCL Receives CAP Accreditation
TCL and Testing Partners Receieve Accreditation

December 2009, Tri Cities Laboratory and its testing partners, Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Kennewick General Hospital have received notice that their accreditation by the College Of American Pathologists (CAP ) has been renewed through 2011. The accreditation comes after a rigorous inspection of all laboratory departments in each facility.
The inspections occurred in October and November of 2009 and the inspection teams reviewed over 1,000 standards covering all aspects of testing. Lourdes Medical Center is also accredited, and is anticipating its biennial inspection this spring.
The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is an internationally recognized program and the only one of its kind that utilizes teams of practicing laboratory professionals as inspectors. Designed to go well beyond regulatory compliance, the program helps laboratories achieve the highest standards of excellence to positively impact pa-tient care.
The renewed accreditation proves the commitment TCL and its Partner Laboratories have toward quality and service.
